Subject: Wall Street blog cites SNPS as competitor to Saleforce.com???
Earlier this week Synopsys announced it that it was acquiring nSys
Design Systems, a small private Indian start-up that specializes in
verification IP (VIP). The $$$ terms were secret, yada, yada, yada...
What was odd about this was a financial analyst from the Wall St. firm,
Zacks Equity Research had blogged about this with the closing of:
"Although Synopsys is gaining traction from new products and
acquisitions, we believe these will take some time to produce
favorable results. Besides, the company is also facing competition
from Salesforce.com (CRM).
SNPS currently has a Zacks #3 Rank (short-term 'Hold' rating)."

WTF?
Our Design Compiler, PrimeTime, VCS Synopsys is now a "serious" competitor
to a Big Brother sales customer contact company Salesforce.com, that keeps
a database of when your company last contacted a customer, their bugs, what
you sold them, and for how much?
Yea, I know Salesforce.com also does cloud computing and that SNPS hopes to
trick the dumber EDA users into making SNPS their cloud computing SysAdmin;
but this stunt is easily less than 0.0001% of SNPS revenue! Come on!
And these Wall St. guys are the ones telling me how to invest my IRA????
