Subject: A sad, bittersweet father-daughter DAC Magma FineSim story

Twelve days before DAC, Magma's K.T. Moore and his daughter, Jasmine Moore,
were working on a spoof video about FineSim for the upcoming DAC 2010. Not
only was this to add a little "fun" to Magma's DAC presence, it was also
supposed to be a "starter" video credit for Jasmine. You see Jasmine had
just graduated from high school in Texas. In the fall, she was going to
study broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri. And even though
this was a "joke" video for us, because it's used in real business it
counts as a real video that Jasmine produced.

Then on the morning of 11 days before DAC, 18 year old Jasmine didn't wake
up. She had a hidden neurological problem that took her life in her sleep.

Of course K.T. did not go to DAC this year. He couldn't. But word was
passed to me that K.T. would greatly appreciate it if the people in his
industry could view his daughter's first and last "real" video as a memorial
to his beloved Jasmine -- and to enjoy it in its original fun EDA spirit.

    SPICE, SPICE Baby
    Lyrics by K.T. Moore

SPICE, SPICE, baby; FineSim SPICE, SPICE baby (1X)
Yo, I'm back, let me kick my credentials,
    DJ MOS-FET, the essential,
chip designer known around the world
Kickin it with the FineSim SPICE GIRLZ!
    We're here, with good intentions
Telling you about, our new invention
FineSim SPICE, it came from Magma
If you haven't tried it, Yo, You hafta

No matter what type of circuit you design
This product's gonna blow your mind
    Analog circuits make simulators stutter
FineSim cuts thru them like butter
Memory designs brings your tool to its knees
But FineSim handles them with ease
If you have these types of problems
Let us show you how FineSim solves them

SPICE, SPICE, baby; FineSim SPICE, SPICE baby (2X)

So, you're waiting weeks for something to simulate
Take too long, can't even validate
In time, to meet your schedule
You don't make it, Yo its dreadful
    No results and no correlation
Now you've come to the realization
When you do you get disgusted
Cuz you know your chip is busted

Yo, it's just one of your problems
Long run times, - we solve them
    FineSim SPICE on multi-CPUs
When this came out it made big news
Now, you can beat the clock
Simulate chips that the others can not
    Verify your circuit's behavior
FineSim SPICE, yeah that's the flava

Other SPICE tools, Yo! They're old school
Still using them? You've been played FOOL
There's no design that we can't handle
We work faster than lighting a candle
    Looking for problems to destroy
    Design killers, like transient noise
No one else can solve your problem
Check out just how FineSim solves them

SPICE, SPICE, baby; FineSim SPICE, SPICE baby (2X)

Watch out! your chip's leaking power
Hundreds of mega watts, per hour
No good! Now your chip useless
That much power you'll be blowing fuses
Go ahead, and explain to your boss
How you're going to recover the costs
    Sorry about your dead device
But you should have used some FineSim SPICE

    Try to do statistical analysis
    Causes analytical paralysis
Other simulators have a major stigma
Takes them forever to get to 3 sigma
    FineSim has some new technology
Shock and awe your design methodology
Created to improve your design flow
100 times faster with our Fast Monte Carlo,

[But wait!] I ain't done you see
    What about design reliability?
    Voltage drop and electro-migration
Got more bugs than a cock-roach nation
Now your chip is back from the FAB
With so many problems, it needs REHAB
All the errors them bugs created
With FineSim SPICE they'll be exterminated

SPICE, SPICE, baby; FineSim SPICE, SPICE baby (2X)

    Hope you've enjoyed our "technical-lyrical"
FineSim SPICE - an EDA miracle
    It's the first parallel simulator
Everybody else are just wanna-be imitators
They're out dated, way too old school
You're better off designing with a slide rule
    FineSim SPICE, that's the name
It's the brand new player that's changed the game

SPICE, SPICE, baby; FineSim SPICE, SPICE baby (2X)

    Word to your manager...
