From: Gary Meyers <gary=user domain=synplicity not calm>

Hi John,

I saw your comment on Synplicity so I thought I would give you a quick
update. There has not been any "big news" because things are pretty much
"business as usual". The integration is going very well. The team from
Synplicity is now part of Synopsys, including Ken McElvain who continues to
drive the technology direction for the Synplicity products and more.

On the product front, we are committed to developing and supporting all the
key Synplicity products including Synplify, Synplify Pro, Synplify Premier,
Synplify DSP and the Confirma ASIC verification suite including Identify,
Certify, and the HAPS prototyping solution.

We will have a sizable presence at DAC this year both in our Synopsys and
our Synplicity booths. Drop by and check it out.

    - Gary Meyers
VP/GM, Synplicity Business Unit of Synopsys

[ Editor's Note: Gary was the CEO of Synplicity before the merger. - John ]
