Hi, John,

My name is Nuno Franca, from Chipidea - analog/mixed-signal IP design.

Question to Antun Domic - GM of Implementation, Synopsys:

The problem: We are having lots of problems with the HSpice waveform
viewer (Cosmoscope): lack of performance, functionality, etc. Takes
forever to open BIG files and takes forever to redraw. We addressed this
with Synopsys more than 1 year ago... they come up with roadmaps,
conference calls, etc., but no real solution.

The questions: When can we expect a solution that's comparable with the
WaveViewer/SpiceExplorer from Sandwork? Or should we just forget about
Cosmoscope and Synopsys solutions and go directly to Sandwork to buy
their software? (In this case, I will want the refund for what we
already spend on Cosmoscope! ;-)

Just to perhaps better clarify: there are 2 major issues we're having with
Cosmoscope: performance and functionality. As I said, we have been
talking to Synopsys, conference calls, etc., but no firm commitment from
them about when they will make a good enough tool.
