> Their original CEO Mike Gianfagna has disappeared from it! The DFM death
> watch goes on...

Richard Goering did a follow-up investigation of the Apio CEO's disappearance
and it turns out that the company had across-the-board layoffs in reaction to
the much anticipated DFM Deathwatch:
"Aprio is taking some cost-cutting measures to avoid that fate. The
company decided to reduce its size to focus on core R&D, and support
existing engagements, Wu said. He declined to say how extensive the
layoffs were, but he said about 20 staff members remain."
Replacing Mike Gianfagna as CEO is the Aprio co-founder Clive Wu.
"Wu thinks the DFM market will 'open up' in 2007, but not without
challenges. 'We want to make sure we can ride out the storm while
maintaining our core capability,' he said. 'This is not just an
Aprio problem. It's the whole sector.'"
And I must cite Gianfagna's honor as a leader for laying himself off during
these bad times -- a lot of CEOs would cut anyone but themselves in a time
of corporate crisis. But the last 2 sentances in Wu's quote above says it
all; "This is not just an Aprio problem. It's the whole sector." Ouch.
