This anonymous note was mysteriously left next to my backpack while I was
doing those video interviews of the EDA vendors at DAC.  It turned up some
time between the Synopsys and Magma interviews.

            There once was a company called Jasper,
            who's president spent faster and faster.
            when asked "What's so funny?",
            she said "It's just VC money",
            will her bankroll run out or out-last her?

            A firm who claimed Intent that was Real,
            for verification had nary a feel,
            clock-crossing wasn't bad,
            but little else they had,
            would I even use in a no money deal.

            On hill where the mighty Cadence lurks,
            looking down as if customers were jerks,
            while completing their task
            their programmers would ask,
            "Are you sure this BlackTie shit really works?"

            Loud and long Mentor Graphics would shout,
            "Questa's the best, of this there's no doubt!",
            yet a common refrain,
            engineers would complain,
            "I tried 0-In but got zero out!"

            Magellan, who redrew the world map,
            by Synopsys was given a bad rap,
            were he alive today,
            there's no doubt he would say,
            "How dare those punks put my name on that crap!"

            From CoWare came a chorus of cheers,
            "ESL is the fix to all fears!",
            but for one simple truth,
            when you leave their DAC booth,
            "Can we really sit and wait 10 more years?"

Since it whacked Jasper for spending VC money, my guess is that it's from an
EDA vendor or a VC.  (EDA users don't worry about VC spending.)  But that's
just a guess.  It could be anyone really...
