OK, so 62% of my readers don't attend SNUG. Let's subtract those out and
see what the remaining 38% had to say about SNUG:

The general tenor of the user comments is that they liked SNUG's quality
plus the fact it was free for most of them. CDNlive got criticized for
charging for admission. Magma Music still needs critical mass and few
of them have ever been to Mentor's U2U.

Don't attend any of them. Too much company propaganda or users who are
so blinded by the marketing spin from a single company that they are
essentially pseudo-salespeople for the EDA companies. It has gotten so
stupid these days that most people believe you must buy your tools from
one EDA company or they won't "interact" otherwise. Complete baloney!

CDNLive was great. I got in FREE by writing a paper, and I caught up
with a lot of friends and made many new ones. I also learned about some
new tool features. Since I'm not a Synopsys or Mentor customer, I've
never been to the others.

SNUG meetings are free to qualified customers. Even large customers
such as ourselves don't get into CDNLive for free. Also the quality
of the presentations are much better at SNUG. I attended CDNLive
about 3 years ago and they did not reveal anything interesting.
