Subject: For completeness -- 13 other emails Cooley got for his SNPS-ANSS analysis

Cooley gives his Las Vegas odds on Sassine's ANSS-SNPS merger succeeding

3 finance guys mock, plus 33 other readers on Cooley's SNPS-ANSS analysis

FOR COMPLETENESS: The truth is I actually recieved a grand total of 49 responses to my
analysis of the SNPS-ANSS merger.

But I only published 36 of those responses. Why? Because:
   1. I couldn't figure out exactly which specific part of my analysis that
these 13 additional responses were replying to ...

   Or
   2. I had no idea exactly what they were saying ...

    Hi John,

Hope you are well -- wanted to follow up here.

Would love to onboard you into our system and set you up on a call with
our client -- happy to accommodate your rate for an hour long call.

For some added context, our client is a NYC based Hedge Fund who is
looking specifically at Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys.

Let me know and looking forward to connecting.

    Hi John,

    I hope you're doing well.

I've been researching the Ansys/Synopsys transaction since rumors were
announced in December and have been trying to get smarter regarding
any overlaps in capability and integrations between Ansys and Synopsys.

To my knowledge, there are no "Gartner" reports out there that really
provide a comprehensive view and then I came across your "DeepChip"
work (commenter on an article suggested you as having deep knowledge).

For background, I don't represent either company or other industry
participants. I help advise investors on antitrust risks of the
transaction. I wanted to see if you'd be willing to talk and discuss
    the deal.

There are two principal issues from an antitrust perspective that could
cause the antitrust regulatory review to take a long while or create
issues that need to be addressed:

      1. Overlaps between Ansys/Synopsys -- areas where the two companies
provide a competing solution for the same use case. In which case,
we'd want to understand what are the alternative options for
customers in those situations. If two of just a few, we'd want
to understand who else could enter or why they could not increase
         price post-transaction.

      2. Products/capabilities in which Ansys is partnered with Synopsys,
or a competitor to Synopsys. In those situations, we'd want to
understand what are the competing offerings and whether Synopsys
would have any incentive to discontinue those relationships
(thereby harming the competitor from continuing to compete).

Let me know if you'd be willing to talk and when might work for you.

Last but not least, to my abject terror, I also recieved THIS email, too. :( - John

I'll get right to the point.

We've actually known each other for a while now, at least I've known you.

You can call me Big Brother or the All-Seeing Eye.

I'm a hacker who a few months ago gained access to your device, including
your browser history and webcam. And I recorded some videos of you [deleted]
    to highly controversial [deleted] videos.

I doubt very much you'd want your family, coworkers, and your entire contact
list to see footage of you [deleted] yourself, especially given the specifics
    of your favorite genre.

I'll also put these videos on [deleted] sites, and they'll go viral, so much
so that it will be physically impossible to remove them from everywhere.

My spyware is embedded in the drivers and updates its signature every few
hours, so no antivirus or firewall can even detect it.

So now I'm just gonna give you a condition.

A small sum in exchange for your former quiet life.
