QUESTIONS FOR ISADORE KATZ

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

    Jim, Isadore, and Gary

What do you think of Cadence Tempus taking on Synopsys PrimeTime?

    Does Cadence have a chance?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Does Tempus have a chance against PrimeTime?

    Is Tempus different from ETS?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

    ISADORE

You have been warning us about the end of timing as we know it for
two years. Lots of people seem to be making chips without any
problem still. The Foundries still seem to be able to deliver
reference flows that cover the timing area.

Why isn't everyone seeing these problems you mention?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

    Isadore

Why do certain STA vendors privately call you the "Timing Cassandra"?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

    To Isadore -

Why do Synopsys and Cadence act like you're the weird crazy uncle that
they have to tolerate whenever your name comes up?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Is CLKDA competing head on vs. Cadence Tempus and Synopsys PrimeTime?

Do we really need yet another timing tool?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

What is it that CLKDA does that Cadence and Synopsys don't?

Isn't FX just Fast SPICE, with a timer attached?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Are 20 nm, 16 nm and 14 nm really that different from 28 nm and 40 nm
    when it comes to timing?

Isn't just more of the same as at 28nm and 40nm?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

How do companies manage sign-off today? Do they typically follow
reference flows, or do they design their own flow?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Isadore, everyone else on the panel has hair, including other start-up
CEO's like Amit. Is this a genetic problem, or is it environmental?
Is that why Sawicki is on the panel instead of Wally?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Isadore, you've been in EDA for 30 years, CEO of two EDA companies,
and you are only just making the trouble makers panel.

Is this because you are crazy, or it just took substantial industry
consolidation for your name to finally surface?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

    To Amit and Isadore:

What are the biggest challenges as a small EDA vendor? What does it
    take to be successful?

Is it even possible to start-up an EDA company today?

    Why aren't there more start-ups?

Do you have to be acquired after a certain time, or at a certain
    revenue number?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
