Please thank the Mentor staff for this. We didn't know it was possible.

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

I forwarded this to our IT guy. He found a similar but misleading Tcl
script in the Calibre README file.

He says the correct path to use for this install is:

             /shared/pkgs/icv/tools/laker/calibre_install.tcl

Now our Laker users won't shut up about nice it is to run Calibre inside
Laker in real time. Guess that's why it's called "RealTime". :)

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Good Laker <-> Calibre tip there!

They both run much faster for us now.

  Thanks!

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Damn. Wished we went to the MENT U2U in April just for this.

From my calc it would have saved my full custom design team approximately
24 man-weeks in DRC run times.

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

With all the money we pay for Synopsys support, why the ^%*# didn't their
FAEs tell us about this? Is it because it's with a MGC tool?

NOT RECEIVING CRITICAL UPDATES LIKE THIS HOLDS US BACK.

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

  Great tip! Keep them coming!

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Actually it was an Armenian 5000 dram note back in 2005 (see attached):

When they were printed up double sided and suitably "aged" they looked
  very convincing!

      - John Biggs of ARM, Ltd.

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

This Armenian bank note joke was started by Michael Buehler-Garcia.

Buehler joked that if Rich was *SO* popular in Armenia, when were they
going to start printing his face on bank notes?

There is no 100 luma bank note. A luma was so small, they got rid of
it. The smallest bank note in Armenia is 1000 drams, which is worth
about $2.50. The face printed on that bank note is a poet who was
killed by the Soviets in the 1930s. Now that I look at it, there is a
slight resemblance between Goldman and this poet...

Never underestimate the power of a good joke.
