Hi, John,

ESNUG 440 #9 might leave the wrong impression with the reader, suggesting
that Magma's product didn't detect the crosstalk violation. In fact,
Magma's Blast Noise WOULD have detected the violation, but the design team
from Conexant didn't happen to use ANY signal integrity solution on this
design. The reality is that for any design at 180 nm or below, a signal
integrity solution is needed to identify potential problems. As your
readers know, Blast Noise is Magma's signal integrity analysis & avoidance
solution. If John S. had used Blast Noise on his design, he would have
found the problem and been able to fix it within our Magma flow. In fact,
Blast Noise is actively being used to do this by most of Magma's customers
including TI, Renesas, Toshiba, AMCC, Clearspeed, and others.

Thanks for letting me clarify that point.
