Subject: Questions for Jacob Jacobsson, CEO of Forte

Why did Synopsys abandon SystemC and SystemC synthesis? What makes you
any better?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

What about equivalence checking tools an C synthesis? It can't possibly
work.

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Not for Jacob: What's the "big guys" thoughts, plans about "C synthesis"?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Why is SystemC so slow? Is its performance ever going to improve?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Why should I do business with you if your company is going to be dead or
acquired within 2 years?

         ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

To Jacob Jacobsson:

Except as applied to a specific subset of math algorithms, everyone in the
general computing community working on parallel and distributed software has
failed at the automatic parallelization of sequential languages and
abandoned these approaches. Why do you think you can succeed? (And, if you
are not doing this and the designer is responsible for handling all the
parallization, then what do you really offer over RTL?)
