  Hey, John,

I just found the interview that Peggy Aycinena did with you on the origins
of ESNUG at the http://www.DeepChip.com/esnug_origins.html link. I never
fully realised all the political, financial, and legal barriers Synopsys
put up to your creating ESNUG. I was particularly amused by the tales of
Aart and Harvey (both the executives and the goats), Richard Goering, Bob
Dahlberg and Cliff Cummings. I was also surprised to learn that the
Holliston Poor Farm wasn't made up, but the history of a real place. It
was an entertaining Sunday afternoon read for me now that DAC's done.

Not sure if you're aware of it yet, but I've left Cadence after 7 years to
become the CEO of a German EDA company called ChipVision. We focus on
allowing "design for power" in the pre-implementation phase. ChipVision's
core Orinoco product is based on the work done by OFFIS Research Labs in
Oldenburg, Germany. Please let your readers know that they can now reach
  me at <stank=user company=chipvision spot calm>.
