Subject: Free Admission to Magma User Group Events if you are Unemployed
Hi, John,
I wanted to let you know that we finally managed to convince the folks at
Magma to expand their attendance base for the user group in Sept in Santa
Clara beyond current users to include PAST and FUTURE Magma tool users who
happen to be currently BETWEEN employmeners. If they go to the Magma web
site and register for the Santa Clara show and indicate in the pull down
that they are currently unemployed, I can WAIVE the admission to the show
for them.
My 20 years as an independent consultant has me firmly convinced about the
power of technical networking, and a lot of the good discussions come from
the people who are no longer restrained about their opinions by "having to
maintain a company line". PLEASE NOTE -- I am requesting that people not
abuse this offer nor try to turn the event into a job fair -- or the
marketing gods will terminate the program. It is first and foremost a
technical event for SoC builders using Magma in their flows.
I know how hard it is to attend industry functions on a tight cash flow
and I am trying to do my part for the folks who want to keep contributing.
