Subject: Why Can't Potential Synopsys Customers Get Access To SolvNet?

John,

I am a designer (mainly custom). Although I've used Ambit (few years back),
I'm a novice in regards to synthesis, concepts, terminology, etc. I would
very much like to get appnotes, tech documents, etc. from SolvNet. But,
unfortunately, we don't have Synopsys, although we are considering the
purchase, thus no access to SolvNet. Would you happen to know if there's a
way for I could get access as a guest or anyway at all? If not, besides
DeepChip, are there any "truely" useful websites which will guide a novice
like myself in terms of intro to detailed topics on design/ synthesis/
terminology /concepts & topics.
