John,
One comment on your 2001 DAC report. You write Synopsys FUD without
checking, people might think it is true. This line was taken from the
SEC filing of Verisity:
1998 1999
------ ------
Total revenue: $7,075,000 $11,477,000
License revenue: $5,458,000 $7,409,000
So please publish the real numbers! I'm really pissed off by the FUD of
Synopsys. I have nothing to do with Verisity's marketing (if that is the
next question you have in mind). You can see the real numbers of how much
Verisity is doing from our filing on http://www.nasdaq.com. Just search
symbol VRST and go to real-time-filing. You can validate there the numbers
I have given.
You cannot see the real Synopsys/Vera numbers anywhere, so they can say
anything (which they do). By the way, I heard they say they have 5,000
users now just like they said it 2 years ago, as you disproved back then
in your 5,000-elfs-in-my-basement article.
It's been fun taking them on for the last 5 years.
Do not publish my name.
