Subject: URGENT READ ME: Three DesignWare Bugs Affecting 5 Foundation Parts

John,

Per our voicemails yesterday, here are descriptions of the DesignWare bugs 
that we have recently uncovered.  We would like to get the information about
these bugs distributed as widely as possible within our user base.  We would
like to have them included in the next edition of ESNUG, if possible.

Anyone using any of the following parts:

    * DW_fifoctl_s2_sf
    * DW_fifo_s2_sf
    * DW_asymfifoctl_s2_sf
    * DW_asymfifo_s2_sf
    * DW_16550

should read on below to see if their design is affected.  Two of these DW
problems were fixed in the DesignWare Foundation 1299-3 patch EST
(Electronic Software Transfer) release.  The third has a workaround and will
be fixed in the upcoming September 2000 EST release.
