Subject: Synopsys Wins "Honor" Of First User-Discovered Y2K Bug In EDA!

John,

Have you noticed the Y2K bug in the Synopsys design_analyzer?  I just
noticed it the other day myself, in version 99.05-2.  They have fixed it
in 99.10, but I remember being told that version 98.08 was Y2K clean.

If you bring up design_analyzer and look at the date in the little box
at the bottom the date has 100 for the year.  (For instance: 1/19/100)

This is not a killer bug but it just goes to show how easy these things
can slip by.  Keep up the great work.
