Subject: WARNING! Don't Switch To DC 99.05 Tcl Just Yet! Inconsistancy Bug!
John,
I thought I would pass this on the the rest of the ESNUG community to
proactively warn anyone doing dc_shell to Tcl conversions. I ported my
dc_shell synthesis environment to the Synopsys 99.05 just to begining
learning Tcl. I ran the dc_shell environment as well as the Tcl
environment on the same design and compared the results. Guess what? I
got different results!
Synopsys has confirmed that there is a problem, so users might want to
wait before porting their environment to Tcl.
