Subject: How Can I Reduce My Number Of Test Vectors Using The Sunrise Tool?
I am trying to improve the coverage I get using SUNRISE. I have a given
amount of space and therefore must not exceed 1500 vectors.
(1) The -reverse option is mentioned in the manual, but it is not clear
from it whether it can reduce the number of vectors needed in every
case. Could you please explain when it is most effective.
(2) What is the largest number of vectors that can be given to the
-compactbuf option? In the manual they give an example of 300, if
this is exceeded does it take a lower default number ?
(3) What is the optimization verses time penalty in using :
(a) -staticcompact
(b) -genetic
(c) both of the above together
(4) Is there anything else that can be done inorder to improve coverage
without increasing greatly the number of vectors ?
Some of the flags I spoke about (compactbuff etc) use a lot of memory. What
would be best in order to stay within 1 to 1.5 GB res memory and below ~2 GB
swap file ? (I tried a compactbuf of 300 and it seems to be very memory
hungry).
