Subject: Something More To Add To The EDA-Should-Support-Linux Debate

hello john,

veriwell used to support a verilog simulator for the linux platform. i
received the following message from veriwell customer support:

   Hello,

The funny thing is that the port is complete and we sold it for a while.
But we could no longer justify the time to maintain and support it, so
we gave up. Now we now longer have Linux running on any of our machines
(they all have some different piece of hardware that Linux doesn't
   support, sigh).

Peruse ftp://ftp.wellspring.com. There still may be an older version
   there that you can use.

   Best Regards,

     - Elliot

John,

Though it is still in its infancy, www.linuxeda.com could help
tremendously in the movement to get EDA tools actively supported on Linux.

ESNUG readers (as well as readers of Industry Gadfly - hint, hint)
could really help in making this site a focal point for our pleas.
