Subject: Seeking Benchmark & User Opinions On Commercial Hardware Emulators
Hello John,
Thanks for running the ESNUG forum. While your introductions are fun to
read, I have also benefited from several discussions on wide ranging
synthesis issues. I am currently engaged in benchmarking several emulation
verification technologies in the market place such as Synopsys' Arkos
Emulator, Mentor's Meta emulator, Aptix, Virtual Machine Works and
fill-me-in on vendor against Quickturn's Emulation Systems. At this time
we are avid users of Quickturn's Emulation Systems and have used it on
more than 15-20 designs with great impact on our verification efforts.
However, we would like to stay tuned to the competition.
I would like to hear comments on ESNUG from people who are thinking
/considering/benchmarking/using any of the above emulation systems.
